Site Update:

Well, it appears blogger has some new options and such. I've spent probably about seven hours tinkering with the code and such to get it to approximately what I want it to look like, the result of which you should be viewing now. Yes, it took me that long to figure out all the little changes from the given template. I only know very basic html, gimme a break. I had to do a lot of trial and error just to see what line of code affected what, and how. Just like when anything changes, some things I like, some things I don't, but I'd say overall, it was a good thing. We'll see.
Evidently you can comment on this thing now - sort of like livejournal. I'm not sure I'll leave that enabled, honestly. Not like I'll have a lot of dialogue, and really, that might be a good thing, preserving the illusion that only a few people actually look at what I spew onto this screen. People talking back? Scary. Also, I have no idea why the tables are wonky when you go to view the archives. And I don't know how to fix it. Mreh.

Personal Update:

US soldiers abusing prisoners. Islamic fanatics torturously beheading an innocent man. Shock jocks broadcasting the audio to that torment with a laugh track. A President spouting more religious rhetoric and starting to sound dangerously like the people he condemns. The myriad rapes and murders and beatings and abuses commited every day in every country.

WHAT THE HELL IS THE MATTER WITH PEOPLE?!

...One state finally taking a decisive step and letting gay couples marry, rather than just toeing the line and saying for these few days, we'll issue licenses. One tiny spark of advancement in the conflagration of the human condition. I'm not gay, can't say I know many people personally who are. But about damn time. If they can be happy together, be so. God knows there certainly isn't much else in the world right now to make one smile.
